Chaos Remembered

Remembering 9-11

In life there is much chaos. We see it at different times in our own lives and in the lives of those around us. We have known it up close and personal and we have felt its devastation as its being played out before us on our televisions. But, it is in the chaos that we are able to find so much. Personally we begin to realize that we had strength beyond measure and courage that motives many. We also find our lives enriched by some losses that are suffered. The loss of pride, when life strips us and leaves us humbled, the loss of prejudice, when the color of healing hands do on look the same as our own. We find motivation and strength through our hope and faith. A hope that inspires us to look beyond the mess and turmoil around us, and forward to the renewing peace of tomorrow. We find that even when we don’t understand and when our greatest question is why, we can lean on our faith, a faith that tells us, God is in control and a constant companion that will meet all our needs through his love for us. When the dust settles and healing begins, we can look back on the chaos, always remembering the devastation, losses, and lives left in shambles. But also, being thankful for the gains and life lessons learned, for the things that moved us in many ways, making us a stronger and better person. Leaving our lives richer and more meaningful, because…we remember.
